Ginger tea to lose weight

Drinking a cup of ginger tea every morning and evening can aid you in losing weight. Or so the following piece says:

原來薑是這樣有用:
薑湯做法:
1 、約十公克的薑磨成糊狀。 (grind 10grammes of ginger to a pulp)
2、把薑糊放入玻璃杯裡。 (put the pulp in a glass)
3、注入滾燙的熱開水。 (add boiling water)
4、加入一匙蜂蜜,拌勻後飲用。 (add a spoonful of honey and stirr well)
5、男女老少都適合飲用。 (suitable for both men and women)

 連續喝兩個月(每天早晚各喝一次)

Drink for two months one cup in the morning one in the evening

1、身體變溫暖,手腳冰冷的『怕冷症』體質明顯改善。 (coldness disappears)
2、體重可減輕約十公斤。 (lose weight up to 10kgs)
3、皮膚變得細嫩。 (skin becomes softer)
4、去掉多餘贅肉,腰圍變細。 (reduces excess fat and makes the waist smaller)

薑對身體很有益處,愛美又想要健康的人,不妨試試看吧!
(ginger is very beneficial to your body, it gives beauty and health to people’s wishes, worth a try!)

Ni jiao shenme mingzi?

Talking about Chinese Internal Arts often results in misspellings and unnecessary misconception.
An attempt at clarity:

太極拳

Tai Chi – Taiji – Taijiquan - T’ai Chi Chuan

Correct full name of the internal martial art: Taijiquan (pronounced: taj dzji tsjwen)
Correct name for the symbol : Taiji

T’ai Chi Chuan and Tai Chi are old spelling, using the obsolete Wade-Giles system to transpose Chinese sounds to our alphabet. Today we use PinYin, combined with tone indication:  tai4 ji2 quan2

氣功

Chi Kung  - Qigong – Daoyin

Correct modern name for health exercises: Qigong (qi4 gong1)
Ancient correct name for health exercises: Daoyin ?? (dao3 yin3)

Chi Kung is old spelling (Wade-Giles).
